When life seems to be crazy and my emotions begin to overtake and wreck havoc, a few simple things bring me back to where I need to be:

  • Hawaiian music, all times in all the places
  • Evening sunset puppy walks
  • Reading through books in the bible I have never read before
  • Texts from old friends
  • Tequila and the jacuzzi… tequila IN the jacuzzi
  • New face wash that smells like a spa
  • Cooking amazing food from that cookbook you’ve had for months

And sometimes, a good long cry and fight with a loved one can be really good for the soul. Something about getting out all of your frustration and then reconnecting and digging deeper into your relationship is beautiful and necessary.
